April 1, 2012, was a day that will live in infamy. A day when the World Wide Kop appeared to collectively lose the plot. This is no surprise. It is a wonder that it has taken this long. Now I am not calling for King Kenny's head, nor Steven Clarke's or any of the management. I am not calling for the dismissal or sale of any players (just yet), but as a fan, a non-objective observer, a very amateur coach, and a onetime not so woeful player, I have a few thoughts;
1. It ain't working. Start over.
2. Sell Andy Carroll, or play a system that uses his strengths.
3. Sell Spearing and Shelvey, buy one good replacement.
4. Get Acquilani back.
5. Find Gerrard's replacement. NOW, and pay for it.
6. Be patient with Henderson and Downing.
7.If you don't sell Carroll, sell Saurez, they are chalk and cheese, and one system won't work for one of them and and changing systems week in and week out screws everybody else up
8. We need four new defenders. Starting defenders. Better than all of them there now.
9. Keep King Kenny. Really, but don't let him buy the talent. He may have a sentimental streak in him. But give him the time to build the squad. It is at least a three year undertaking. If no better by this time next season, well time for gardening leave then.
10. I will never ever be ashamed to call myself a Liverpool fan. I love the team just as much when they lose as when they win. It is just more fun when they win.
